UnitedHealthcare is disrupting healthcare in Florida

UnitedHealthcare is reducing its provider network by abruptly terminating agreements with leading healthcare specialists in Florida.

Patients may soon find it more difficult to get the medical care they need.

One recent example: UnitedHealthcare terminated its contract with American Anesthesiology of Florida, which provides anesthesia care to hospitals and healthcare facilities in the state. The termination took effect in December 2023.

For an insurance company that earned $22.3 billion in profit during 2023, the relentless drive to increase profits at the expense of patient care is unacceptable.
